His wife Maria Caroline nee Schuetze who died 28 August 1941 aged 88 years, is buried in Nailsworth Cemetery, Main North Road, Adelaide, South Australia with their 3rd daughter Winifred Dora who died 20 September 1910 aged 32 years.
