Harold Wilke was born 29 December 1890 at Port MacDonnell. He made his living by working as a Fisherman, Rabbit Trapper and for the Drainage Board as Manager of the Port MacDonnell area.

He died 25 November 1972 aged 81 and is buried at the Port MacDonnell Cemetery, South Australia.
